Soul Mates

I am truly thrilled with this new piece in my Decision Portrait Series. I've known this couple for years.... before either of their two beautiful daughters was born. "Soul Mates" says it all.  They’ve been married for years.  One of their two daughters snapped the photo for this artwork.  They knew what stereotypical racist people would think of their union…. but they were in love.  They are still in love.  They will always be in love.  The color of their skin has nothing to do with the emotional, spiritual, day-to-day, interconnected, marital and family bond that their love created.  They are SOUL MATES.  They knew it and acted on it.  They decided to get married, have a family, and live happy lives together.
