South Carolina ranks in the bottom of just about every education poll ever published. We're at the tail end for literacy, percentage of students fulfilling graduation requirements, and in almost every subject tested. It's pathetic. Lots of people complain...and complain.... and complain. Many families send their kids to private schools. Others move for "better" school districts. Very few people are willing to take positive action.

Jeannie Eidson didn't complain. She helped found a public
charter school where a diverse student population learns in an atmosphere of kindness,
respect, and active participation of everyone involved. It’s called the
Carolina School for Inquiry. http://www.carolinaschoolforinquiry.org/AboutOurSchool.html
It was my privilege to stitch her portrait and my hope that
others will consider how they might MAKE A DIFFERENCE too!
